Pi Wars is a Raspberry Pi based mobile robotics competition held in Cambridge University for
the last 5 years. In the competition, teams compete their robots in various autonomous and
remote controlled challenges and get ranked according to their success rate and completion
time in each challenge.
This year, by hosting the 2nd Pi Wars Turkey event in Hisar School, we hope to bring this
beginner friendly, non-destructive and incredibly fun competition culture to our country. We
hope to make robotics more accessible and encourage more students in Turkey to pursue STEAM
fields.
We are aware that we can't complete our mission of making robotics more accessible to
everyone with just a competition. Therefore, for the 2nd time, we are organizing a Pi Wars
Turkey workshop.
In this 2-day workshop, students from our team will be giving classes on Python, Raspberry
Pi, 3D Design, and computer vision to select teams. At the end of the workshop, each team
will build their own basic RasPi robot and get a robot kit for making additions to their
robots later on.
